Just when it looked like the concept of decent snow in Utah had flown out the window this season, several storm systems came through, leaving powder landings and even a few valley dustings. Here's some photos of a recent jumping sesh that went down in the Brighton backcountry.
Jason Heckle, hungry for shots after a fractured disc in his back earlier this season, stomped a fs 7.
Noah Lohr was there too. Switch bs 7.

Case of the Mondays 3/30/09 from Cole Taylor on Vimeo. This weeks case of the mondays features a creative feature that almost went wrong when Brandon Hammid narrowly escaped a face to rail collision. Afterwards, he was seen jumping for joy, happy to be unscathed.
Contest were the thing to do today. Peanut Butter Rail Ram was at Brighton and Montster Rail Jam was at the Gallivan. My roomate Noah Lohr was the killin it today at Brighton, He walked away with third and a hundred dollars.
Homies Ted Borland, Trent Saunders, Cam Pierce, and Alex Andrews all killed it in the finals. Ted got first and is now 3000 dollars richer, Trent got secon, Cam third, and Alex back 80 the whole DFD. Congrats! Sorry I have no pics I was busy trying to snowboard in the contest, not killin it.
Spring break was going off at Brighton. I mean sunny days, slush, babes in bikinis what more could you ask for. I missed out though, and had to work all week. anyways here's a video I tried to make featuring Cole, Asher, Pat, Alex, And Clif that they filmed with my camera. ENJOY!
Double dose this week! 360's on to rails are all the rage these days, and we've been keepin' up with the times with some tornado spins on the corrugated tube at Brighton. Also, keeping it crispy at contests with a bunch of goons is pretty FIERCE! Brandon slides in to a 2nd place victory without compromising his integrity at the U of U Campus Rail Jam that happened a while ago.
Monday came a little late this week. With just getting back from spring break and trying to use the little bit of snow we had in the city, this week has been a busy one. Luckily Brandon stepped up and helped us out by editing this weeks COTM on his brand new computer. Expect to see more from him soon. Like maybe a Brighton edit tomorrow? Hmmmm...
Ahh Gus Man Preeeeetty steezy Anchorage has been so sick. There's plenty of snow, and then on Saturday/Sunday it snowed atleast another 8 inches! So fun! The past few days the crew has been Larson, Gus, Mike, Brendan, Trevor Z, and me. Its been sick. I cant say that enough. Peep these photos to see the fun your missing out on. All photos by Mike Morgan.
Brighton in March from Cole Taylor on Vimeo. March can be a farfetched month in Utah, one day you've got a foot of powder, and the next you're taking slushy park laps. Either way, it makes for lots of fun. Here's footy from a few days up at Brighton earlier this month.
Big Red Killing It In All The Snow Action Photo! Landon claiming hes trying to look like JP Landon at the Spot Hows my steez? Bad i know
Ak is ripping. Its dope up here. There is so much snow in the city and in the mountains. Today I went up to a school on the hillside with Landon Holzer, Mike Morgan, and Darren. We set up this triple line thing that is super fun/frustrating. Here's some snap shots by Mike.
case of the mondays 3/16/09 from Cole Taylor on Vimeo. Somtimes you just gotta tell your homies whats up when they dis yo mamma. Or your protein shakes. Either way Clif Reagle and Chris Brewster duke one out in the backcountry.
Git yer' Fierce Fridays here. Brandon Hammid demonstrating his rail prowess with a serious dance move. You might want to do some calisthenics before you go out and try this one. I guess once you've done every rail trick in existence, you just have to start doing them twice. Then maybe some day you too can be FIERCE! Now I'm off to Idaho for some spring break potatoes. Updates soon.
Some B footage from our last venture into the streets of Utah. We happened to encounter 15 deer while we were boarding, so we managed to start production on the sequel to Planet Earth. Now go boardin'!
A Very Dorky Edit from Noah Lohr on Vimeo. If you can handle some serious camera shake, then get ready to be slightly entertained. Lots of laughs and some ghetto ridin' from a rhythm section we built at a Utah golf course. You might want to watch it on Vimeo where you can turn on HD, unless you dig the interlacing effect that makes us look like spooks from a horror movie about people crawling out of your television.
This year's movie is dubbed "Never Gonna Get It", and features the likes of Chris Brewster, Noah Lohr, Brandon Hammid, Jason Heckle, Parker Duke, Clif Reagle, Mikey Park, Alex Andrews, Sean Black, Asher Koles, Nick Catmur, Pat Harrington and many friends. Available sometime next fall, be sure to check it out!
